Casually Cute Parisian Style Transitional Look

It’s that time of year again. Where you don’t really know what you’re gonna get as winter and spring battle it out. Struggling with what to purge and what should stay in your closet a while longer? Read on for what pieces

to put away into storage right now vs which ones you should leave in your closet to get through this transitional winter to spring time of year.

Sweaters

It’s finally time to put away all the chunky wool knits. I’m also going to pack away the turtlenecks only because I never really cared for them anyway. Well, maybe I’ll leave one. Lightweight knits are great transitional pieces and the types of knits you want to keep around for a little while longer. Tbh, I find myself wearing light knits well through spring and even sometimes into summer. Because even the slightest breeze and I’m cold reaching for a standby sweater.

Replace pom beanies with berets

I don’t know why but I’m always sad to pack away my pom beanies. They’ve become a welcome part of my life, mostly in that they’re really warm, cute and great for those days when I don’t feel like running a comb through my hair. So while I’m packing most of them away I’ll leave one on standby and am introducing berets into the mix. Berets are giving me all the Parisian style vibes and a chic outlook on spring.

Flats

Loving any mild winter days when I can get away with wearing flats. As much as I love all my heavy-duty boots, I’m so ready for more feminine shoe options. Flats with cropped jeans are always a favourite of mine as we transition into spring. That being said all the rubber insulated boots are getting packed away. The only boots I’m leaving for the remaining duration of winter is a pair of Timberlands – because I wear those babies all year round.

So now that my closet is all set to transition to spring all we need is for the weather to co-operate. But I’m not holding my breath as after all this is Canada. On a side note, all y’all from Europe are giving me serious fomo with your magnolia pics on Instagram. Patiently waiting over here…
