Winter Festival of Lights with Ford Canada

2019 Ford Edge

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than to visit the Winter Festival of Lights at Niagara Falls. While we’ve made it a bit of a tradition to visit every year, this year Ford

Canada was kind enough to sponsor our trip down. In a brand new 2019 Ford Edge! Words cannot begin to describe how excited I was to drive the Edge. And to Niagara Falls of all places.

Roadtrippin to Niagara was fun. The Edge of course is luxurious compared to my ride. Especially  with heated seats and separate climate controls for the driver/passenger. Because in the winter ain’t nothing better than getting into a cold vehicle and the seats being warm.

This was our first time staying at the Vittoria Hotel and we were taken back by the view from our room. Aside from having an amazing view of the falls, we had a birds eye view of Clifton Hill that we just couldn’t get enough of.

After enjoying the room and view for a bit we headed outside. Because we were so smitten with the view from our room we ended up hanging out on Clifton Hill all afternoon. It was actually quite perfect – the weather was mild and there weren’t too many tourists out during the day.

After exhausting Clifton Hill and grabbing a bite to eat, we headed down to to catch the Falls and wait for dusk to catch all the lights.

The 2019 Ford Edge is loaded with premium Bang & Olufsen speakers which made it perfect for blasting Christmas tunes. After all, “the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Thankfully no one could hear our singing, but it was a bit surreal driving through all the lights listening to our fave holiday music.

After a magical night of spreading #FordHolidayCheer we headed back to our room to a spectacular view of the Falls all lit up.

The next morning we woke up to somewhat of a blizzard outside. But I wasn’t worried for our drive home because the 2019 Ford Edge has safety features like pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and a lane keeping system. The lane keeping system is pretty neat in that the Edge tracks if the vehicle starts veering out of your lane and will alert the driver with a vibration in the wheel. Thus making it perfect for long drives where one may potentially start dozing off.

The rear and front view cameras are pretty helpful for parking and backing into tight spaces. Oh and did I mention that the Ford Edge can park itself? Bring on all the snow cause this ride can handle our Canadian winters.

A very warm thank you to our friends at Ford Canada for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
